There always seems to be something going on at First Church where you can have fun and form bonds of friendship with others. From sports teams to informal social gatherings, there are several groups at First Church where everyone is invited to fellowship. Find a group that interests you.
Bowling
First Church has an adult summer bowling league that meets every Friday for 13 weeks from June through August. The cost is $14.00 per person per week, and the proceeds benefit Missions.

Card Club
We play social card games emphasizing Christian fellowship and meets once a month at the discretion of host or hostess

Club 66
Age 18 to 30? Please join our young adult Bible study that meets Wednesdays in the choir room at 7 pm. The last Wednesday of the month is our fun night out together. You'll feel right at home.
Co-ed softball
This league is for men and women 18-75 years old who enjoy playing softball in a non-competitive league. We play games Friday nights at 6:45 and 8:00 pm. Practices are on Sunday afternoons and aren't mandatory. We play a 10-game season at Forest Hills Park (Royal Palm Blvd. and Riverside Drive). Dinner for eight/nine
Small groups of singles and couples meet for dinner and fellowship once a month at different homes from September through May. Sign up to be a host, or just enjoy being a guest.
Lunch Bunch - Unemployed? Discouraged? Hungry?
Please join the Lunch Bunch on Wednesdays at 12:30 in the library. Enjoy a sandwich or two and meet with others who are going through the same difficulties. Come find support, friendship and networking. For details, please e-mail ststauffer@bellsouth.net.
Never Alone
Please join this group of fun singles that meets monthly for social activities -- movies, eating out, murder mystery games, game nights, etc. For more information, please see the Never Alone Web site.
Shepherd's Center
Open to anyone 55 and up, this "seniors helping seniors" group meets on Fridays 9:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. in Fellowship Hall.
Twilight Couples
We offer fellowship for senior couples while reinforcing the joy of living and gaining new insights into life through one another, socializing at church events and helping fellow members when needed (such as during sickness, hospital visits and bereavement). Meets the second Saturday of each month at different homes.

Young Adult Bible Study
We offer opportunities to young adults for spiritual growth, fellowship and service through Bible studies, participating and supporting church functions, visiting places of interest and supporting various ministries.

Young at Heart
We encourage our seniors to enjoy a pleasant afternoon together sharing the friendship and love that God so freely gives us; activities include a picnic in June, Thanksgiving dinner, a Christmas Party and day trips to local places of interest. This group also makes donations to the church and the Children’s Home and meets the second Wednesday of every month except during July and August.
