Thanks for stopping by! We hope you enjoy visiting the friendly, active community of First Church -- at one of our worship services, in a small group or on one of our sports teams.
Our Location
First Church is at 8650 West Sample Road in Coral Springs, about a mile east of University Drive and a few blocks west of Riverside Drive.
Our Services
Saturday, 6 pm
This is a casual service featuring popular music by praise band Renanah, and a relevant message from one of our ministers. Please bring your friends, enjoy free coffee and snacks, and worship in a personal, relaxed atmosphere.
Sunday, 8 am
Our liturgical service offers litanies, hymns, prayers and creeds that reflect the enduring and ancient nature of the faith. We will share in the sacrament of Holy Communion every Sunday at this time. Disciples who wish to do so may enter during the singing of the last hymn and receive the Lord's Supper with us. These latecomers are then free to attend a later service, Sunday School or both.
Sunday, 9:15 am
The contemporary service is a time for innovative expression of faith and response to God. Creativity and spontaneity are the rule rather than structure and predictability -- and multimedia presentations, drama and music by praise band Higher Ground all express our worship. Interpretation for the deaf and hard of hearing is offered.
Young people in grades 7-12 meet on the 2nd Floor of the Faith Building for a special service just for them. A teen praise band, state-of-the-art visuals and the attitude of the leadership all produce a youthful celebration of faith. Worship combines with learning and fellowship experiences.
Sunday, 11 am
The traditional -- yet not stuffy -- Methodist service is a moving time of worship. The organist offers up traditional hymns of inspiration, and affirmations of faith and choral responses lead into lessons from Scripture.
Sunday, 11 am
Creole-speaking members of our community are welcome to worship in their native language. We meet in Robey Hall. Sunday School is at 9:30 am, and Bible Study on Sunday is at 7 pm in Robey Hall.
Discovery Chat
People who are new to the faith, new to our church -- or who want to know more about United Methodists, their own spiritual gifts or ways to get involved in the church -- can attend the Discovery Chat. This is a short session offered the fourth Sunday of every month, 11 am - 1 pm. Coffee and refreshments are served. Please call Cindy at 954-971-5248 or Bev at 954-753-5624 for details.
