Holy Week events
March 27-28: Palm Weekend services (Youth Worship will join 11 am in the sanctuary)
April 1: Passover Seder, 2nd Floor Faith Building (childcare provided), 7 pm
April 2: 7 Last Words of Christ, Noon-3 pm
“Were You There” drama and worship, 7 pm
April 3: Breakfast with the Easter Bunny / egg hunt and family fun day, 9 am (Breakfast is $5 for adults, $3 for kids, and pictures are $3.)
Holy Saturday service with egg hunt, 6 pm
April 4: Churchwide sunrise beach service led by youth (bring chair and flashlight) at A1A and Atlantic Blvd. by the pier, 6 am
Traditional Easter services, 8, 9:15 and 11 am
Easter Basket Project
Lydia Circle is having a fundraiser for its annual Easter Basket Project. The women make 150 Easter baskets for foster children, the Sandwich Club and the His Walk homeless ministry. In February and March, Lydia Circle members will offer the following services in exchange for a donation to the project: babysitting, baking, cooking, local airport transportation, transportation to doctor visits, running errands, grocery shopping, shopping and tutoring by certified elementary teachers. Missions trips
Interested in going to Haiti? Please e-mail Cheryl Price. If you are interested in going to Honduras, choose from June 19-26 or June 26-July 3 and call Brad and Brent Brewster at 954-344-2054. Also, our Children's Ministry mission trip to Guatemala will be July 12-19; please call Melea at the church office. The youth high school mission trip to Guatemala will be July 25-Aug. 1. The middle school trip to the United Methodist Children's Home will be June 27-July 2. For these trips, please call Terry Lee at 954-495-0984.
Young at Heart

The Chosen Ones concert
First Church presents southern gospel recording artists The Chosen Ones in concert. This free concert will be held on Sunday, March 21, at 7 pm. Nursery services will be provided. A love offering will be taken. The Chosen Ones feature two generations of smooth family harmony. They have sung throughout the United States, as well as appearing on Gospel Music Television. Cooperative Feeding
If you would like to help with serving food to the community and homeless, we are looking for volunteers on March 6. Please call Teresa Thomson at 954-757-8019 for details.
Share Food Network

You can help the homeless
Dine with Jesus is a wonderful weekly feeding program for the homeless. We cook every Monday, 1:30-4:30, and we need four to five people in the kitchen each week. We take the delicious hot meals to downtown Ft. Lauderdale and serve in the park on Andrews and Broward. It is extremely safe, and we haven't had any problem. We have helped hundreds of people on the street with our comfort, our prayers and our food each Monday. It takes two vehicles to drive the food, tables and clothes each week. It takes six to seven people to serve. You are back home by 7 pm. Can you give two hours of your time every other month? Please stop by the missions table on Sundays and find out how you can help. Our present needs are bulk food items, paper plates, 12-oz. cups, plasticware, blankets and jackets, large aluminum pans, paper towels, large garbage bags, heavy-duty foil, clothes, shoes and socks. We also need contacts with local businesses/restaurants willing to partner with us for food and supplies.
