Support/Outreach
Being part of a church community means finding support and other like-minded people. If you need help, need to talk with someone or are looking for community support, please contact one of the outreach groups at First Church:
Bible Study Fellowship -- interdenominational lay Christian organization with Bible study groups in cities across the United States and internationally

Congregational Care -- helps with needs that range from telephone outreach just to be in touch, making referrals to other ministries, praying with members or just listening; hospital visitation; and visiting homebound members

Divorce Care -- friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life's most difficult experiences

Emmaus -- three-day spiritual retreat offered to men and women on separate weekends approximately twice a year

Never Alone -- monthly fellowship for single, divorced or widowed men and women

Nurses Group -- Christian fellowship group with the purpose of supporting each other

Scouts -- two units chartered by the church as a means to reach out in ministry and service to youth and the community:
1. Cub Scouts Pack 249 -- serves the needs of kids and their families for boys from grades 1 through 5 and meets the 4th Tuesday of the month from September through May and dens meet weekly at either the leader's home or a church location

2. Boy Scouts Troop 249 -- serves youth from age 11 through 18 and meets on Thursday nights at 7:30 pm in Robey Hall; troop committee meets on the 2nd Tuesday of the month

Shepherd's Center of Coral Springs -- interfaith, non-profit organization with the primary purpose of enriching the later years of senior adults; meets Fridays from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm

Stephen Ministry -- provides one-to-one caring relationships by trained lay persons to individuals in the church and community who are experiencing some crisis in their lives

Tuesday Morning Moms -- supports mothers whose children range in age from infants to college students and its focus is on learning, self-improvement, and fellowship; topics of discussion include marriage, child rearing, family concerns, and personal spiritual growth; meets every Tuesday morning, 9:30 am -- 11:30 am, when schools are in session

Women's Prayer/Study/Share -- connects women relationally for the purpose of becoming more Christ-like through study, prayer, fellowship, encouragement, accountability, and service
