Support/OutreachBeing part of a church community means finding support and other like-minded people. Here are outreach groups that serve First Church:Bible Study Fellowship – interdenominational lay Christian organization with Bible study groups in cities across the United States and internationally Divorce Care – friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult experiences Emmaus – three-day spiritual retreat offered to men and women on separate weekends approximately twice a year Never Alone – monthly fellowship for single, divorced or widowed men and women Nurses Group – Christian fellowship group with the purpose of supporting each other Scouts – two units chartered by the church as a means to reach out in ministry and service to youth and the community
Shepherd’s Center of Coral Springs – interfaith, non-profit organization with the primary purpose of enriching the later years of senior adults; meets Fridays from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm Stephen Ministry – provides one-to-one caring relationships by trained lay persons to individuals in the church and community who are experiencing some crisis in their lives Tuesday Morning Moms – supports mothers whose children range in age from infants to college students and its focus is on learning, self-improvement, and fellowship; topics of discussion include marriage, child rearing, family concerns, and personal spiritual growth; meets every Tuesday morning, 9:30 am – 11:30 am, when schools are in session Women’s Prayer/Study/Share – connects women relationally for the purpose of becoming more Christ-like through study, prayer, fellowship, encouragement, accountability, and service |
