| Sunday 8:00 AM Traditional Liturgical
Service |
|
We gather in the
sanctuary for 15 minutes of quiet time before the Liturgical
Service begins. Worshipers arriving during the moments before
8:00 are asked to be aware that others are praying and to
enter the sanctuary with quiet reverence. Soft music and the
beauty of the room provide a time of peaceful private worship.
At 8:00 a traditional liturgical service begins. The worshiper
can expect litanies, hymns, prayers and creeds - which reflect
the enduring and ancient nature of the faith. The service will
be conducted in a more dignified and reflective mood. We will
share in the sacrament of Holy Communion every Sunday.
Disciples who wish to do so may enter during the singing of
the last hymn and receive the Lord's Supper with us. These
late comers are then free to attend a later service or Sunday
School or both. |
| Sunday 9:00 AM Children's Sunday
School |
|
Sunday morning finds the
sounds of children beginning their Sunday School classes.
There are classes for all ages, from infants through adults,
which insures a place for everyone. Nurseries are provided for
infants and toddlers, to allow parents to attend the class of
their choice
Our Children's Program provides
classes for children age 2 years through 6th grade, in a
loving, caring environment. Special programs throughout the
year give children opportunities to participate in various
areas of church life.
Through Confirmation study our 6th
graders study what it means to be a Christian and accept Jesus
Christ as their personal Savior. The class prepares young
people to become disciples of Jesus Christ and full members of
the church. |
| Sunday 9:15 AM Innovative Service (Nursery
Provided) |
|
The middle service on
Sunday mornings is a time for a contemporary and innovative
expression of faith and response to God. Worshipers will
expect the unexpected as creativity and spontaneity are the
rule rather than structure and predictability. This service is
a platform where we will use non traditional media and methods
to express our faith in worship. Drama, audio-visuals,
dialogue sermons, congregational conversation, spontaneous
responsives (God is Good - All The Time), upbeat music, and a
variety of musicians, instruments and musical expressions,
just to name a few, will work together to express and
encourage innovation in worship. We are providing additional
classes during the 11 AM worship service to accommodate the
needs of those who prefer this service and who desire a Sunday
School experience to continue their Christian
Education. |
| Sunday 9:15 AM Youth Praise and Worship
Gathering |
|
Providing for the
worship, fellowship and education needs of youth, this service
meets in the Robey Chapel. A praise band, a great sound
system, state of the art visuals, the decor and the attitude
of leadership combine to produce a youthful celebration of
faith. With upbeat and youth oriented music, worship combines
with learning and fellowship experiences. |
| Sunday 11:00 AM Blended Methodist
Service (Nursery
Provided) |
|
This is the traditional
Methodist service. Don't let that lead you to believe it is
stuffy. Even the younger generation will find it a moving
experience. During this time is the Children's Hour for
children 2 years old through 5th grade
| Saturday 6:00 PM Music & Message (M&M) Service (Nursery
Provided) |
|
This is a new casual service featuring a half-hour of praise and worship music, and a half-hour of message from one of our ministers. Saturday night's message is different from Sunday's services, so come to worship in a personal, relaxed atmosphere. Light refreshments follow afterward.
