Sunday school It's not just for kids! There are classes for all ages from infants through adults, starting at 9 a.m. In addition to Sunday school, confirmation classes are offered once a year for young people in 6th grade and up. Through confirmation study, they learn what it means to be a Christian and accept Jesus Christ as their personal savior. Classes prepare young people to become disciples of Jesus Christ and full members of the church, ending in a special ceremony in the sanctuary in which they are recognized as church members.	Bible study There are a number of Bible study groups that meet at various times throughout the week. There are also several prayer groups that meet. First Church is big on what we call "Acts 2:42 groups," which are small groups that meet to study the Bible and grow in fellowship with one another. Discover Class People who are new to the faith, new to our church -- or who want to know more about United Methodists, their own spiritual gifts or ways to get involved in the church -- can attend the Discover Class. This class is offered the fourth Sunday of every month from 11 am until 1 pm, after which class participants are invited to join the church.
